“You do not rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems”– James Clear
Organizations are systems continually looking for methodologies to perform better, be that efficiency, productivity, or profitability. Each process in the organization contributes to that performance. Goals are set to provide a focus for the systems to achieve, but if barriers remain, the risk to perform is increased. Safety systems are a contributing process that can identify and resolve risks for better performance. Keep in mind: systems are designed by humans, and as such, are fallible: adjust as you go to allow for a greater, safer workplace.
