Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook
In business, contingency planning is done to ensure survival and beyond. Without it, a business struggles to live and provide safe workplaces. From a Safety Professional’s point of view, contingency planning means the same thing: survival while providing safe workplaces. Managing safety as a business function, not a regulatory answer, makes all the difference in an organization’s performance, both operational and financial, beyond the here and now. Always make sure there’s a plan B to engage.
