“Customer service is not a department, it’s everyone’s job”
How our customers experience us will determine the success we achieve. If we are safety problem solvers with multiple right answers that address the unique needs and wants our customers have, they will continue buying from us. If we try to solve safety problems by fitting the organization’s methodologies into our safety process, we are setting up frustration. Alignment with customer goals doesn’t mean compromising safety values: it means being creative to make them fit in for success.
