Problems, usually presented to Safety Professionals as challenges, are inevitable for our organizations: or are they? When safety is inserted upstream in the organization, it becomes part of the planning process, thus containing risk that is both organizational and personal. As Safety Professionals know (and so do savvy business people), challenges with risk can be overcome: how those challenges are handled and addressed shows character, adherence to values, and makes all the difference in the world.
