It’s hard (some would say impossible, even though it’s not) to show safety’s measured value to a business. After all, how do you measure what didn’t occur. From a business perspective, there are so many invisible things that make it a success. Safety is the same way. Risks are invisible until they reveal themselves or are discovered by a Safety Professional. The question is how you find the risks: do you wait until they reveal themselves, or try to find and control them as best as possible. The successful organization does the latter.
