Tension is sometimes viewed as negative and while there are tensions that can lead to detrimental outcomes, this is not the tension we’re talking about for safety. In safety, managing tensions includes the interactions and decision making opportunities with the various leaders in our organizations. How we address them makes the difference in positive outcomes. Safety is a contributor to a healthy business when managed properly: it leads to success.
