Our first interview as part of this new series is with Mark Patton, EHS Manager of Betts Company. As a manufacturer of truck parts and a provider of service for heavy duty vehicles, Betts Co. was classified as an essential business. Betts Co. has always been proactive in advancing their safety culture, and today James Boretti, CSP interviews Mark on how they have handled and adjusted to COVID-19 so far to keep their employees and customers safe, what measures they have implemented, and any challenges they anticipate addressing as the country moves to reopen.
In part two of our session with Maribeth Anderson, MPA, CSP, Maribeth and James discuss leadership with and for safety, and her experiences as developing into a safety leader. Maribeth discusses how she learned from reflecting on situations to improve herself as a leader and shares takeaways of leadership which we can all use. Maribeth is a Global Safety Director and the first ASSP Council on Regional Affairs Vice President, and she has a great wealth of experience in safety leadership during crises.
