We all know what it’s like to react with frustration and anger, and to be the receiver too. Businesses know to expect it at some point, and Safety Professionals experience it all too often. While the behavior isn’t excused, it is a moment in time that is actually an opportunity. So, as Nicole so aptly states, before responding to something upsetting, set it aside in your calendar to revisit in 72 hours: you’ll find your message will have much greater reception and impact when you do. Safety is much more successful without frustration.
