Business risk is viewed in two ways: the opportunity to negatively affect an outcome, based upon what’s undertaken, and the opportunity to gain from a risk decision. Safety plays the role of making sure the former is minimized while the latter is of benefit without harm. To work efficiently and profitability while taking the opportunities, safety is integral: after all, it’s humans who make the business run.
