In business, the typical question asked when making strategic and tactical decisions is what is the smart thing we could do here. However, Warren Buffet’s approach to business success has been not to be in the clever pile; rather, decide what not to do, therefore leaving better options open (aka flexibility in decision making). Think about how that could work for safety: the options that remain no longer include doing nothing. That’s where safety meets business success.
