Achieving excellence is an often desired goal for businesses. The idea is to create value so the product or service is viewed competitively above the rest, thus leading the customer taking action to buy. Also, it can be measured: customer service, customer retention, product and service delivery, etc. Safety can align with this, measuring value and success along the same lines. Excuses only put noise into the system.
