Becoming a successful leader can many times be attributed to a mentor. A mentor’s insight can find abilities in a person that they would not have otherwise been able to access; and they challenge them. Safety leadership takes many mentors: while safety can be a lonely profession, it is the wise counsel of those before us and those paving new ways that lead to our success … and the mentoring of others.
