Our organizations, the ones we work for, sweat for, and are dedicated to seeing them succeed, are human-made, thus they are imperfect. Mistakes will be made, undue risks taken; however, guiding a better organization is the role of safety. Safety professionals understand that our organizations are not in business for safety; rather, they become more successful with safety. Align, be flexible, and don’t compromise a human resource to be sacrificed: they are the reason for success.
