A two-year project is now coming to fruition with combined efforts that included EHS Director for Western Milling, Rene Urquia. Western Milling rose to the challenge of reducing greenhouse gas and methane emissions in their dairy lagoons when new standards were released with the goal of reducing emissions by 40% by 2030. Rene explains how they were able to convert their diesel fleet over to compressed natural gas through a partnership with the local air pollution control district and air resources board. This led to tremendous savings and a commitment to cleaning up California’s air.
