If you’ve worked in this profession long enough, you fully understand this quote. One of the key success skills for business is clear communication. When done right, great things happen; and when done not-so-right, there can be disastrous outcomes. Same is true with safety: processes developed in a bubble are difficult to communicate (therefore, resistance to implement). Instead, ask your customers to contribute and they will understand the message very well. The only constant for safety is not compromising toward an unsafe process: that won’t help anyone (I trust everyone understands what’s being said).
